Introducing Stanley, a Performer at the Busan Natural Hair Expo

Introducing Stanley Thomas. He will be a performer at the Busan Natural Hair Expo.

Stanley Thomas, educator and singer was born in Atlanta, GA and raised in Decatur, GA. He began his love of music at a young age; singing in the church choir and playing the piano. He comes from a musical family, beginning with his late mother, whom he sang with almost every day around the house. Instead of just speaking to one another, they would sing their conversations. As often as he could, he followed her to various rehearsals and events to hear his mother sing. He stopped singing with his family after her death in 1997. He pursued sports in high school, but his family never stopped encouraging him to sing again. After a year of not singing, he decided to rejoin the choir and try talent shows and other events. He began directing and teaching songs at the age of 15 with the help of his aunt and uncle who were the choir directors at this church. He later, became a regular at the Choir and Male Chorus at Providence Baptist Church, while attending college. He also served as the Director of Music for Westside Full Gospel Church for a short time. He participated in several events with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, including 3 Christmas Concerts, one of which he had a very important solo, the 75th Anniversary of Disney, and the 91st birthday celebration of Truett Cathy, the owner of Chick-Fil-A. He has had his own band, and the last one OSYM1 (pronounced awesome one) ft OSYM SOUND. He still uses OSYM1 as his stage name even though the band is no longer together. He writes, arranges, plays and sings music. Although he likes almost all genres of music, his favorites are Old School R&B, Jazz, and Neo-Soul. He is currently working to finish a Neo-Soul album, which will include all original music and two tribute tracks.

Come check him out at the Busan Natural Hair Expo & White Affair!
