Happy is Natural

In the spring and early part of summer, we filmed various naturals in South Korea for our "Happy is Natural" video. This was inspired by Pharrell William's "Happy". We are so pleased that the video is now complete and able to be viewed on YouTube. We are also putting the link to it here on the blog so that you can view if from here if you haven't seen it already. Thank you to everyone who had a role in making this video a success!!!

Upcoming Event

Just noticed it has been a minute since we last did a blog post. A few exciting things have taken place since we last posted. To name a few, we were vendors at the Harrisburg Natural Hair Expo in June, and vendors at the DSW Fashion Show in Orlando, FL in July. On August 3rd, we were featured at our first US Hair and Skin party which was held in Ocala, FL. In Ocala, we discussed the basics about natural hair, did demonstrations, and of course offered some of the top of the line natural hair products on the market. We look forward to doing more events in the Ocala area, so stay tuned.

And on August 10, 2014, we are hosting a Make and Take Mixtress Par-Tea in Orlando, FL.

We also joined Instagram in June of this year, so you can now follow us @irokcurls on Instagram.

We have received tremendous support from South Korea to the East Coast of the United States.

Directions to the Women in Business Expo at Hannam Towers

Join us at the Women in Business Expo Part Deux!

Over ten vendors will be at this event promoting/selling beauty and health products.

We are delighted to be a part of this event for the second time around.

Please join us at this March 2, 2014 event.

Directions are as follows:

Walking directions to the Women in Business Venue, Hannam Towers.
1. Take the Seoul subway to Hangangjin Station.
2. Leave the station from Exit 3. There is an elevator at that exit. (You can see the elevator in picture 2.)
3. Come out and make a quick left down the stairs you see in picture 2.
4. After you walk down the alley, make the first right turn. You will see the buildings in picture 3 at this point.
5. Continue walking down that street and you will see Paragon apartments. (picture 4)
6. The road will end and at this point you should be able to clearly see Hannam Towers. Make a right to follow the wall to Hannan Towers. (picture 5)
7. Walk along the wall and then you will come to the guard gate and Hannam Towers on your left.

Let the guard know you are there for the Women in Business Expo and head to the event. It will be on the Penthouse level.

Buses that go to Hannam Tower:

 The bus stop name for these RED buses are at the top of the picture. You can show the bus driver when you get on the bus and ask him/her to let you know where to get off the bus. When you get off the bus, you will need to walk away from the bridge you see in these pictures. Make the first left and then a quick right in Hannam Towers.

 BLUE buses that go to Hannam Tower.

BLUE & GREEN buses that go to Hannam Tower.

The name of the bus stop you will want to get off at.

When you see this building, you will need to get off the bus. This building is almost directly across from Hannam Towers.

Hair Show Extravaganza 2

On Sunday, January 26, 2014, we had the incredible opportunity to be a vendor at South Korea's first ever Women in Business Expo. There were over 10 vendors there in total and it was an empowering and great learning and networking experience.

Busan Natural Hair Meetup

An event for Naturals in the Southern part of South Korea. Come out and mingle and connect with other naturals while enjoying good food and company. Getting There: From Nampo Subway Station, take exit 7, walk straight and hang a left on Nampo-gil (shopping street). Veer left when you get to to the fork in the road and take a right just after the KFC on your right.

Directions to the Make & Take Mixtress Par-Tea

Take the Seoul subway to Sinyongson station. It is located on line number 4, which is the light blue line. Leave the station from exit 2.

Walk past this Toyota Building.

Make a left down this alley when you see this Korail Banner. iPark Mall and Yongsan Station will be on your left at this point.

Walk down the alley. Yongsan station and iPark Mall will be behind you and you will see City Park Apartments ahead.

Arrive at City Park BUILDING 202

Take the elevators to the 5th floor, and the banquet room will be to your immediate right.

If arriving by taxi, show the taxi driver this address. Taxi drivers may be more familiar  with the "current" address.
